Kyoto is in the Kansai Region of the main island of Honshu. It is an ancient capital of the nation and has countless historically significant buildings and monuments. For this reason, it is one of the best places to see old Japan. Outside of the religious sites, Amanohashidate is a popular destination. It’s located in the northern part of the prefecture. It’s a large sandbar that looks like a bridge taking you to heaven. It’s is Japan’s three most scenic views. Kyoto offers Kyo-kaiseki cuisines, ramen, oysters, tofu, green tea noodles, pickled vegetables, and many more. The Capital is Kyoto City.
