Fukui

Fukui is in the Chubu Region and faces the Sea of Japan.  Maruoka Castle was built in the early 1600s and is one of 12 original castles remaining in Japan. During Spring, 400 cherry trees bloom and are lit up at night with over 300 paper lanterns. Tojinbo offers a rugged, spectacular view of the Sea of Japan.  Fukui has one of the best and largest dinosaur museums and excavation sites globally. Fukui is known for the best crabs, Wakasa Wagyu beef, and soba noodles. The Capital is Fukui City.
